March/April/May/June 2010

Just an FYI for all you looking to possibly book me for early next year. I am seeing record numbers of early inquiries and bookings for 2010, some as late as November and December but mostly for the first few months. Unlike this year that was pretty slow early and slammed late, with a ton of last-minute bookings, it looks like 2010 will be solid all year long and booked 8-12 months in advance. If you want to secure a date in March, April, May or June, keep in mind that many Saturdays in those months have multiple couples interested in them. If you are close to making a decision, or have decided to book but for some reason (waiting for funds, etc) let me know and I will make sure to let you know if someone is close to booking ahead of you. Otherwise, don't wait. As always, I don't play favorites. I book on a first come, first served basis. Get your date secured and let "book a wedding photographer" be taken off your to-do list.

Jamie and David are apearing here for the first time. Since Jamie booked me over the phone from New York, we only met a couple days before the ceremony and didn't get to do an E-Shoot. They were the second couple in the past few weddings that have done a "reveal", seeing each other before the ceremony. Jamie and David did this to allow travel time between their Winter Park chruch and the Omni Rosen Plaza Hotel reception. We got to play in my fav playground of downtown WP before going to the church. The Rosen was spectacular as always, perfect for partying the night away!

So I suppose you can file this E-shoot as successful despite some initial setbacks... like Krista and Josh getting pulled over by WPD for allegedly speeding. I felt terrible because they were rushing to get to our shoot from Tampa and, well, the ole' cop-in-the-bushes trap got 'em. I give them tons of credit for overcoming that and really allowing their love to shine through.

On an unrelated note, while I was waiting for them I saw a lady (possibly old-ish... very white hair but I shy away from naming names :) try to parallel park her loaner Mercades and something must have happened because she guned it and slamed her rear end full-force into a new looking convertible BMW 7-series. Ouch. To make things worse, she decided to just drive off. Luckily there was a valet and about 20 other people who got her tag number. The strangest thing about it... we walked by the car and there seemed to be no damage what-so-ever. Either there were nearly identical black 7-series BMWs parked in the exact same place or they are indestructible.
