Liz+Jeremy's Boca Raton Wedding

Have you ever met someone over the phone or internet and just instantly clicked with them like you have been friends for years? Thats how I felt when I emailed Robert McClory to inquire about his services to photograph our wedding in Dec 2009.  Going on a gut instinct I hired Robert without ever meeting him or seeing his work in person - and wow am I glad I followed my instincts.
You see, the beauty in Robert's work goes way beyond the finished product that you can see on his website or blog. I think that half the reason his photographs are so great is because his personality, calming demeanor and overall vibe brings out the best in his subjects. Somehow Robert just blends right into the crowd - almost to where people don't realize they are having their photograph taken - creating the most authentic and spontaneous images. So many of his shots go deeper beyond the surface and capture the true emotion of the moment.
With Robert, you are not hiring a "wedding photographer" - you will not get cookie cutter posed shots of you and your old Aunt Sally.  Robert McClory is an artist and hiring him to photograph our wedding was one of the best decisions I could have made.  Robert will capture the intimacy and the romance of your day... if you are lucky enough to hire him!

As I said to Liz when I read that... WOW. I have had testimonials written before but that's one of the nicest. This wedding was near and dear to my heart not just because it was in a fantastic location, or that the couple seemed like so much fun. It was special because many of the shots we did were at The Boca Raton Resort and Club, the place where my wife and I were married 12 years ago. I was so excited to book a wedding there and looked forward to it all year. It was made even more special because when hearing that we were married there, Liz insisted that I bring my wife down with me for the weekend to relive some memories. The day didn't disappoint and as you can tell by the images, it was just about perfect, almost like it was 12 years ago for us.

Progress!

In my effort to keep all my end-of-2009 couples informed, I have completed most of your Artist's Choice galleries and very soon will be moving on to your final edits, in the order that I shot your weddings. I will send you an email when your edit is nearing completion (since I tend to work on them over time, between shooting) so you know you're close to getting the rest of your images uploaded and discs shipped. After that I will be moving on to DVD Slide Shows, Book designs and other deliverable products. As always, if you have any special requests or needs, don't hesitate to contact me and I will do my best to accommodate. Thank you for your patience over the Holidays and I hope everyone has a GREAT 2010!!!

Fun with Wifey!!!

So here's the story. My wife NEVER lets me take pictures of her, or at least not in any formal sense. We've been married 12 years and this is only the 2nd time I can remember that she's let me do the "full treatment" for her, bringing out the lights, going to a good location, etc. Truth be told, I really wanted to take advantage of some great light (notice I didn't say weather... it was FREEZING) and had an idea I wanted to try. It was all an excuse to get her in front of my camera... and it worked :) Hey, when you have a beautiful wife and you're a photographer, it's almost a crime not to take advantage of the situation. Anyway, I really love these shots, and not just because it's my wife, but because especially the one at the end of the pier is an idea I've always wanted to do.
